Graduate Assistant for the Marketing Department of Crummer
As an incoming MBA Candidate, I was awarded the MBA Marketing Scholarship of the program. The scholarship came with a monetary award as well as a job opportunity to work internally with the Crummer Marketing Team.
While pursuing the full-time MBA I was balancing the assistantship as well as maintaining my position as a Marketing and Communications Manager at Sohuis. I was able to attend several American Marketing Association events and have since been an AMA member. I also was responsible for event marketing promotions as well as event check-in as a grad assistant.
Academic Consulting and Special Projects
During my time with the Crummer Graduate School of Business, we had the opportunity to work with clients, in particular when working in the Consulting Capstone portion of the MBA program. Each project is worked on as a team and had a final presentation attached to it usually in front of the CEO and executives of the company.
Crummer Student Convening Group
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Initiative
I was a founding member of the school's Student Convening Group that advocates for students across all identities including but not limited to race, gender, sexuality, nationality or any sort of disability.
The goal of forming this group was to build an infrastructure that includes and extends past the current conversation of racial justice at Crummer. It will be a group that can continue on past our time at Crummer and allows the conversations and initiatives to continue happening.
The team of 8, including myself, was able to launch 2 open forums successfully and set up an infrastructure with the consul of faculty. The school is working hard to meet goals to address DEI within the program and has made a commitment and promise to continue the work we started.
